Shiloh + Chris’ 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa wedding photography on leap day was simply amazing! From waking up to snow on the ground to the incredible elegant decor and lovely guests, it was truly an amazing winter wedding day in the mountains.
When I first spoke with Shiloh and Chris about their wedding and wedding photography, I knew that they were going to have a relaxed and fun wedding weekend in Lake Lure. They talked about how they, along with all of their family and friends, would be traveling to the wedding, and how they wanted it to feel like an elegant yet fun family reunion. Shiloh and Chris reside in Bermuda, and their guests are from all over the world. A reunion style wedding suited them perfectly, and I have to say, they truly succeeded! They had an incredible wedding day spending almost all of their time with their guests, which is truly hard to do.
As you know, having a wedding in the mountains during winter can be a bit of a gamble. In this case, it paid off beautifully. When I arrived for their 1927 Lake Lure Inn wedding photography the air was cool and windy, the morning snow cover had melted, and the sun was warm and bright. As I walked through the ceremony and reception spaces the finishing touches were being placed. The white drapes in the ceremony space were blowing in the wind giving the space an intimate feel. The floral centerpieces stood tall among the table scapes and the historic inn lobby was bright and welcoming. It was soon all set and ready for Shiloh and Chris to say I do and enjoy the day with their family and friends, just as they envisioned.
After seeing the space and meeting many friendly guests who were helping with final touches, I began photographing Shiloh and the girls getting ready in the bridal suite. When I entered she was ready to get in her dress and was surrounded by her mother, her two matron of honors, and her flower girls. They all were perfectly attentive in helping Shiloh dress and put on her shoes and jewelry. I could truly feel the love and support in the room and was honored to capture it all!
Throughout the rest of the wedding day, I continued to feel the love and support that the guests gave to Shiloh and Chris. From the all guest photo after the ceremony to the sweet hugs and handshakes, it was beautiful to witness and capture. The laughter and overwhelming joy were abundant, making for a beautiful winter wedding in Lake Lure. I loved this 1927 Lake Lure Inn wedding photography!
Congratulations Shiloh + Chris!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review from Shiloh + Chris on WeddingWire– “Excellent experienced Photographer! I choose this photographer for her style, and flexibility with pricing and my preferences initially. She came highly recommended by Carmela Occasions and Creations, as well as numerous vendors, including The 1927 Lake Lure Inn, where I was married. Jessica was punctual, creative and ready to capture our wedding. Her experience, professionalism and creativity help capture all the moments we most wanted in our wedding. We had a Bermuda island meets the North Carolina Mountain theme to celebrate the bride and grooms family roots, and she captured it all so beautifully. I would highly recommend Jessica as your photographer. Our wedding was Feb. 29 2020 and we are in the process of ordering our books and photographs. It’s easy to share the link for family and friends who may wish to see the photos as well as buy them. As we live in Bermuda, Jessica has made it an easy process to do business internationally. We did not have a chance to meet Jessica before the wedding, as it was a destination wedding but she did a lovely job. Wishing you a beautiful wedding to all the couples still planning their big day.”
