Homewood Wedding Photography in Asheville, NC | Kimm + Michael

Homewood Wedding Photography couple kissing

This elegant evening wedding at Homewood was beyond beautiful and a ton of fun! Kimm + Michael sure know how to throw a party! From a relaxed cocktail hour before their ceremony to a night full of dancing, this wedding was a blast and I love their Homewood wedding photography!

Kimm and Michael’s wedding vision came to life when their family and friends began to arrive for their wedding at Homewood, which is right in the heart of Asheville’s Montford neighborhood. Homewood is a historic castle wedding venue here in Asheville. With it’s stone structure, cherry walls, hardwood floors, and grand fireplaces it was a perfect venue for Kimm and Michael’s elegant summer wedding.

When I first spoke with Kimm and Michael months ago, they described wanting their upcoming wedding day to be easy going, relaxed, and fun. They have been together for over 13 years, and wanted to celebrate their marriage with their closest family and friends. They did just that, among the beauty of Homewood with their Asheville wedding.

The pre ceremony cocktail hour in which they greeted guests was nestled among the greenery near the front steps of Homewood with string lights hanging overhead and delicious hors d’oeuvres being passed. The simple ceremony that followed in the great room with guests enveloping them in a circle of support and love was heartfelt, and full of laughter and joy. Seamlessly moving from their first kiss as husband and wife to their first dance, while still surrounded by friends and family was a delight to watch. The ease at which Kimm and Michael moved through their wedding day with bright smiles and full hearts was an honor to capture. It was a perfect wedding day, just as they had envisioned it!

Congratulations Kimm + Michael!

Update: Kimm + Michael’s wonderful review on Wedding Wire
“The Least Stressful Part of Our Wedding! Jessica was amazing. She was easily the most responsive vendor that we worked with. She even proactively reached out to us several times! This may seem like table stakes for someone in the wedding industry, but we had to hound several other vendors to even get back to us.
I’m not really a big fan of the camera. She made me feel super comfortable and you can see it in the photos she took. We didn’t want a lot of staged photos, and what she delivered to us was a true snapshot of the day as we lived it. The photos are beautiful.
We also had some family issues to deal with for the group photos. Jessica was a total pro. She worked with us to prep our family photo list, we gave her the heads up about who should not interact with who, and she handled everything seamlessly and professionally.
From our first phone call to the day of, I was never worried that Jessica would not do an amazing job. We would 100% recommend her and you should snag her if she is free for your date!”
