There is nothing cuter than soft baby skin and a tiny double chin! Well, maybe tiny newborn toes and a button nose? Whatever you think is the sweetest thing about a newborn baby, you’re right, because honestly, I could never decide! I adored capturing this Waynesville newborn photography!
Sweet baby Wren was a perfect newborn model for me during her photography session! When I arrived at her home near Asheville, NC, she was sleeping peacefully and allowed her mother and I to take our time getting set up. Once we got her swaddled and in place, she shared her beautiful eyes with me for a few minutes before nodding off and sleeping through the rest of our time together. It was the cutest!
As I captured Wren’s newborn photos, she furrowed her brow for a few, and made a couple of squeaks, but overall was very settled and a perfect babe in front of my camera. She let me change swaddle blankets, swap hats, roll her onto her side, and even put on her knit booties with zero fuss! Truly, she could not have been more perfect!
One of my favorite things about this Waynesville newborn photography session was that Wren’s furry siblings watched the entire photo shoot from the other room, keeping an eye on me as I worked. It was very sweet and I cannot wait to capture them all together some day soon!
To wrap up our session, Wren’s mother requested some breastfeeding photos of the two of them, which I was happy to capture. When parents request private photos like this, I am happy to accommodate and keep the photos tucked away for only the parents to see. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture photos of a newborn baby, and I am happy to photograph sweet moments like a mother breastfeeding, or a parent practicing their skin to skin technique. They are beautiful and fleeting moments that tell a lot about this phase of parenthood, and I love when parents embrace it!
As you can tell, I had a wonderful time capturing baby Wren during this Waynesville newborn photography and all of her precious newness. It was a delight to freeze these moments in time for this lovely family!
