Couple running through alter at Claxton Farm Wedding

We truly had the most amazing spring day for Sarah and Alex’s Claxton Farm wedding in Weaverville, NC! The sun was shining, puffy clouds dotted the sky, the air was warm, and the breeze was cool. It truly could not have been a more perfect day for a wedding!

When I arrived at Claxton Farm, just outside of Asheville, NC, I was blown away by its beauty. This was my first time at this Asheville wedding venue and I loved it! The view from the very large well maintained lawn where they host wedding ceremonies is gorgeous, the reception hall is rustic and beautiful with a huge fireplace, tons of windows, and even big doors that easily open to the outside letting a bit of nature in. Their entire property is gorgeous with large weeping willow trees that sit perfectly next to the pond, open green spaces, dirt lanes, fence lines, and so much more. At a Claxton Farm wedding, there are countless locations for incredible photos, and I could honestly spend an entire weekend photographing there! It’s so very beautiful and unique!

On Sarah and Alex’s wedding day, family members installed a geometric arch for their ceremony. It fit perfectly among the large lawn and open spaces, and held a special meaning for the couple. Inside, the reception hall was decorated with an abundance of personal items, flowers, desserts, and more. When I walked in, I could see right away that it was a lovely mix of Sarah and Alex, and fit them wonderfully as a couple.

As the day began to take shape, Sarah and Alex got ready in separate spaces with their attendants. Sarah was in the bridal cabin with her bridesmaids and mother, and as soon as she got in her dress she was very ready to go meet Alex for their first look. In the meantime, Alex was with his groomsmen in the reception hall and quickly slipped away to the pond as soon as it was time. Both were beyond excited to see one another. As I placed Alex under the weeping willow tree by the pond, he told me that he was a little nervous and couldn’t wait to see Sarah. When Sarah came down the lane to meet him, I could see the excitement on her face. We took a moment to capture their first look, and afterwards, they both talked about how hard it was to be apart from each other on this big day of their lives. They were both so sweet and were very ready to be married!

The rest of the day was filled with love, support, hugs, tears, and pure happiness. Their Claxton Farm wedding ceremony was beautiful and included hand written vows and lots of emotions. It was so sweet to see Sarah and Alex overjoyed for their marriage and big day. I am so very excited for them and what the future holds!
