I love any excuse to go to Highlands, NC, but when I go there to photograph an Old Edwards Inn wedding, it’s even more amazing! The approach into Highlands is full of beautiful winding roads, lakes, and mountain views. Then when you arrive, the downtown area is incredibly picturesque with a wide Main Street, historical buildings, and pristine landscaping. I absolutely love it, and need to spend more time there!
For this trip I was there for Libby and Ruffin’s wedding photography at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, and it was amazing! These two lovelies got engaged at Dry Falls waterfall in Highlands on 2/8/20, and have now brought their lives full circle by getting married at the historic Old Edwards Inn and Spa, and taking their wedding photos at Dry Falls on 2/8/22! We had a gorgeous winter day celebrating their Old Edwards Inn wedding with their closest family and friends. It could not have been more perfect, and I loved being a part of it!
Libby and Ruffin opted for a small Old Edwards Inn wedding with about 20 guests, and their Falls Cottage Fireplace wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect. With a long entrance aisle, plenty of room for guest chairs, and a roaring fire behind them when they spoke their vows, it was beautiful. Their two dogs sat nearby at the front row, and could hardly contain themselves as they were so very overjoyed that their humans were getting married!
Throughout the rest of the afternoon at this Old Edwards Inn wedding, we captured photos around the grounds at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, at nearby Dry Falls waterfall where they got engaged, and during their cocktail hour at The Lodge at Old Edwards Inn. It was wonderful to see Libby and Ruffin constantly holding on to one another, even when their guests were vying for their attention. These two are inseparable in the best of ways!
