This Mount Mitchell wedding at Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat was absolutely beautiful! Surrounded by breathtaking views and the gentle whisper of nature, these two lovelies said “I do” in the most heartfelt way.
From the moment that I stepped on the property for this Mount Mitchell wedding, I could feel the love and ease of Kelsey and Evan’s wedding day. The air was warm and calm, the guests were relaxing and chatting with one another, and Kelsey and the girls were joyfully getting ready in their cabin. It was such an amazing sight to see this wedding day seamlessly coming together, all in the unmatched beauty of this venue!
When I began capturing Kelsey’s final touch ups of hair and makeup, the girls were bustling around her telling stories, helping each other get ready, and singing along to Kelsey’s wedding day playlist. I loved these moments, and loved capturing all the girls together, right before Kelsey and Evan said, “I do!”
As the minutes went on, and we got closer to the Mount Mitchell wedding ceremony, I could feel the excitement build. The guests were seated, Evan entered the ceremony and stood at the altar with mountain views behind him. Their daughter entered with a big smile on her face and stood at the altar waiting for Kelsey to enter. Soon, Kelsey and her father began walking down the aisle and both Evan and their daughter were beaming with joy from ear to ear. It was amazing to witness the excitement of the three of them officially joining together.
Throughout the rest of the day, these three were inseparable at this Mount Mitchell wedding! From laughter and fun during their wedding photos to sharing a special dance at the reception, they were having the time of their lives! I adored capturing their love, happy tears, and many hugs.
There’s something so special about a wedding that feels like a cozy secret- filled with genuine love, laughter, and a touch of wild beauty. From the wooden details to the soft glow of string lights, every moment was pure, raw, and unforgettable.
I love that Kelsey and Evan chose Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat as their wedding venue. It is an absolute gem of a wedding venue tucked into the Blue Ridge mountains in Burnsville, NC, just one hour from Asheville, NC. This venue sits on a very private and serene hillside property with beautiful mountain views. This Mount Mitchell wedding venue boasts multiple outdoor open air ceremony locations with mountain views, and has an indoor reception space that is perfect for a seated dinner and dancing. The large decks, open green space, dirt lanes, and mountain views make for incredible photography spots. Plus, this venue has beautiful onsite cabin accommodations for guests, so everyone can stay and celebrate the couple for a few days!
