As an Asheville newborn photographer, capturing newborn photos for a family in their home is one of the sweetest parts of my job. It is an honor to be invited into a family’s private space, see the inner workings of their life, and photograph their most precious moments with their newborn baby! The moments with a newborn baby at home pass too quickly, and I love being a small part of this time, and being able to create photographs to document it.
As always, this held true for my latest at home newborn photography session in Asheville, NC. I met baby Evelyn and her parents in their home, and captured this amazing time for them. From sweet snuggles and soft kisses, to laugher and lots of love, we photographed it all!
When I arrived at their home, I was greeted by smiles and the most beautifully decorated spaces. I love this family’s style, and it was perfect for this in home newborn photo shoot! Their living space is bright, tidy, and boasts clean lines and pops of color. Honestly, if I had a photo studio, it would be decorated like their home!
After I checked out their spaces for photos and got settled in, we started with photos of baby Evelyn by herself. Evelyn was sleepy and relaxed, which is a perfect way to start a newborn photography session. She allowed us to lay her on the bed with no swaddle, and simply capture her all curled up, in that newborn baby way. It was beautiful!
After photos of Evelyn by herself, we moved to capturing family photos of this gorgeous trio. They all snuggled together on the couch, and it sure made for some beautiful photos for this Asheville newborn photographer! Evelyn slept through the entire set of photos, making it possible for her parents to relax and have a little silly time with kisses on the cheek, big smiles, and laughter. I absolutely love the photos of Mom’s big smile as Dad kisses her all over her cheek!
As you can see in the photos, these three beautiful humans adore each other. It was an honor to capture this time for them, and I cannot wait to see them all grow together!
