Emerald Ridge Wedding Photography in Weaverville, NC | Kristin + Joe

This summer wedding at Emerald Ridge Farm in Weaverville, NC near Asheville, NC was absolutely stunning! From Kristin and Joe’s BIG love and their fun wedding party, to the gorgeous mountain views and dancing into the night, every piece of this day was planned flawlessly. I adored capturing this Emerald Ridge wedding!

From the moment that I first spoke to Kristin and Joe about their wedding, I could feel the love and connection that they shared. They were clear, kind, and truly listened to one another and their thoughts about wedding photography for their Emerald Ridge wedding. It was such a sweet glimpse into their relationship, and I loved seeing it all blossom on their wedding day.

My first interaction with both of them on their wedding day was during their first look. As I set Joe into place, he was calm and reserved. When Kristin arrived and stood out of sight, they began talking to one another, and even without seeing each other, I could see their emotions creeping to the surface. As I asked Kristin to tap Joe on the shoulder and he spun around to see Kristin, the happy tears began to flow. These happy tears weren’t just a sign of the day’s emotions, they were much deeper than that. These tears were a sign of their love, connection, and absolute trust for one another. It was such a beautiful sight to capture their big love.

This love, connection, and trust was also heard in their private vow reading that they completed just after their first look. Though I do my best to stay far enough away from couples that I don’t hear their private vows, I sometimes catch snippets as I move around. In this case, I did catch a couple of snippets about their love of travel, deep love for one another, and their complete joy to be together. They truly are each other’s happy place.

As the day progressed through wedding party photos, their wedding ceremony, family photos, and more, Kristin and Joe were inseparable. Their bond is strong, and they wanted nothing more than to stand next to one another all day while in the company of their family and friends. They held hands, they snuggled, and together they danced the night away! It was such a beautiful sight at this beautiful Emerald Ridge wedding!
