The most beautiful intimate wedding at the most beautiful mountain hotel in Burnsville, NC was such a joy to capture! Stephanie and Brandi brought together their closest family and friends for their NuWray Hotel wedding, and it was amazing to witness! From a private first look and walking down the aisle together, to including their dogs in each part of their day, it was gorgeous!
When I first began talking with Stephanie and Brandi about their wedding photography, I knew right away that this event was full of intention. Intention to keep it intimate with only their closest people, intention to be fully present for the entire day, intent with gratitude for the people who helped them plan and setup their wedding, and intention to be exactly themselves, together. It was such a beautiful sight to see, when so many events shift away from intention, gratitude and being present. Stephanie and Brandi’s NuWray Hotel wedding was just as they envisioned.
One of my favorite parts of Stephanie and Brandi’s wedding day was that they included their dogs in so many aspects of their wedding. They had each of their three dogs walked down the aisle by their nieces and nephews during their NuWray Hotel wedding ceremony. The dogs were included in photos, and the dogs attended the reception, with much joy to be included. Their happy smiles and love of getting pets made for an extra boost of cheer throughout the day. As you know, I am a dog lover, so I truly enjoyed spending bits of time loving on each of the dogs!
Another part of what made their day so amazing is that they hosted it at NuWray Hotel. This historic hotel has such incredible character. It was built in 1833 and is the oldest continuously operating hotel in North Carolina. It’s recently been restored and is absolutely beautiful. The hotel sits on the square in the quiet mountain town of Burnsville, boasts 27 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, an outdoor bar, a speakeasy in the basement, and plenty of room for weddings and events in their beautiful and breezy outdoor spaces, as well as their well appointed indoor spaces.
Stephanie and Brandi’s wedding day was full of many amazing pieces, and what made it so incredibly special, is the two of them. Throughout their NuWray Hotel wedding day, they spent as much time together as possible. They arrived together, then quickly got ready and shared their first look so that they could spend more time together before the ceremony. They took time to sit and talk in NuWray Hotel’s beautiful upstairs parlor until the ceremony started. After the ceremony, we captured photos of the two of them at NuWray Hotel, and they took a break to be together and change into their second outfits before arriving at the reception. It was all full of intention to be together and present with one another at their NuWray Hotel wedding.
