We truly had the most beautiful spring days over the weekend here in western North Carolina for Casey and Ron’s Hawkesdene wedding! The sun was warm, the breeze was light, and the gorgeous pastels in the flower bouquets were a perfect match!
This couple opted for an entire weekend of Hawkesdene wedding festivities with their close friends and family all in one place and loved every minute of it! You all know that I LOVE Hawkesdene, which is located between Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and it’s for multiple reasons. 1. I would choose it for my own wedding because of it’s beauty, open spaces, and that it can accommodate all of a couple’s guest count for an epic weekend long wedding event in the mountains. 2. The staff is absolutely amazing to work with and the food they create for every meal is so very delicious. 3. The feel I get when on property is ‘come and stay a while’ or ‘sit here by the creek and take a nap for a bit’. It has the most amazing spaces and welcoming vibe, among other things!
When I arrived on the day of this Hawkesdene wedding, everything was in place and running smoothly. Both Casey and Ron were finishing getting ready in their separate spaces and were excited to see each other soon for their first look. The ceremony and reception spaces were all decorated with beautiful florals, lanterns, place settings, and more. The bright green spring leaves on the trees and blooming rhododendron gave a pop of color everywhere I looked. It was gorgeous!
Casey and Ron’s ceremony was a perfect balance between serious and heartfelt, and light and fun. In the crowd there were a few tears, lots of laughter, and tons of support. It was a sweet ceremony that ended in lots of cheering and beautiful big kiss!
The rest of the day Casey and Ron held onto each other tightly during their Hawkesdene wedding. They were side by side through their wedding photos, loved their quiet moments together on the top of the mountain at Hawkes Nest, and even hugged and greeted guests while standing close. These two have such a strong and caring connection, and I am beyond excited for them!
