The dress, the invitations, the flowers, the hombre cake, the location, the crew… they all came out BIG for this Haiku wedding styled shoot and it was amazing! The setup was so incredible that I could let these styled wedding photographs speak for themselves, but I think I’ll share a little, too.
My friend Ashley, who is also a local wedding and family photographer here in Asheville, had an idea for a fun styled shoot a while back when she and I met for tea. After taking some time to find the perfect venue, and finding color inspiration in her very own colorful summer sandals, she brought her idea to a group of local vendors and executed it perfectly! Haiku wedding venue is a gorgeous venue in the heart of Biltmore Village, right here in Asheville. It’s private, yet conveniently located, it’s modern structures and decor boast clean lines and neutral colors, and the gardens are peaceful, quiet, and serene. It has so much to offer, that we couldn’t possibly capture it all during our time there! A few of my favorite spots are the teal blue sliding door in the chapel, the white canvas covered pergola and koi fountain, and of course, the meandering walkways and immaculately landscaped gardens. Every inch of Haiku wedding venue is beautiful, and is ready for any event’s personal touches.
For this styled wedding shoot we spent a lot of our time on the gorgeous cascading deck, capturing the couple with the beautiful architecture of the chapel building. The Mikaella Bridal wedding dress from MAGGI Bridal and wedding bouquet from Stargazers Designs popped beautifully off the chapel behind.
At Haiku wedding venue, we also utilized the walkways and gardens for wedding cake photos and wedding detail photos, groom photos, and more. Even though it had rained all day before we arrived, the grounds were beautiful and still.
This group of vendors that we worked with at Haiku wedding venue are wonderful and all did an amazing job! It was a ton of fun to shoot with other photographers and learn about how they see photographic opportunities and their processes, too. “Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.” — James Cash Penney
