Lauren + Sean’s wedding at Spinning Leaf Events in Shelby, NC was simply gorgeous! The vineyard, the ceremony lawn overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the reception hall were all beautiful and a perfect spot for this spring Spinning Leaf wedding!

When I arrived for this Spinning Leaf wedding, which is about a 90 minute drive southeast of Asheville, NC, I was blown away! The long drive that meanders through the vineyard and opens up to a beautiful venue space with long range mountain views is a perfect greeting. On the right, across from the classically and simply decorated reception hall that is waiting for every couple’s personal touch, is the ceremony lawn. The arbored walkway with young purple wisteria growing leads you onto the lawn which is beautifully landscaped with antique string lights overhead, and a separate arbor at the front. This all overlooks the nearby vineyard, old growth trees, and Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. It is incredibly gorgeous just as it stands, however with the floral decor designed by The Veranda Florist in Lawndale, NC, it was beyond beautiful! The chosen colorful flowers and abundance of greenery were perfect accents to this space for Lauren + Sean’s wedding, as well as beautiful details for their wedding photography!

After I walked the property to get my bearings for this Spinning Leaf wedding, I checked in with Sean and Lauren. Both were visibly excited, yet calm, and I could tell they were very ready to be married! Not long after my arrival we captured bridal details, their letter exchange, and their first look. For their first look we chose the ceremony lawn, which was a wonderful wide open spot and quiet. Lauren excitedly tapped Sean on the shoulder and when he spun around and saw his bride for the first time in her wedding dress, he immediately smiled and hugged her. Both were beaming with joy in that private moment, exactly how a first look should be. It was a very sweet first look, and I was honored to be there to capture it!

Throughout the ceremony and reception Lauren and Sean were inseparable. They stood by one another’s side throughout greeting guests, enjoying dinner, and having fun at their reception. They truly were so happy to be married, and to have made their promise of togetherness. At one point I even caught them in the cocktail room dancing with no one else around. It was the cutest moment!!

As you can see, Lauren and Sean have been looking forward to being married for many months. They are a perfect fit for one another and I wish them nothing but happiness! Congratulations Lauren and Sean! Your Spinning Leaf wedding was beautiful!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “We Loved Jessica Merithew Photography! We had looked around for a photographer for a while. Some didn’t fit what I wanted, several were out of our price range, and one would just never answer emails. And then we found Jessica! She was very affordable, exactly on time (even early!) for everything, answered every single email, call, and numerous questions we had. Jessica made family photos flow so well and even though my husband and I have tons of solo pictures from that day, she made it seem like it only took seconds to pose us and take the picture. Our wedding day was very overwhelming (but with good things!), and Jessica made her part of the day seamless. I would definitely hire her again.
