This Jump Off Rock wedding elopement has my heart! Anna + Edward are the sweetest couple and their beautiful sunrise mountain top elopement was absolutely stunning! They shared tears, laughter, and immense love, we had Jump Off Rock to ourselves, and Mother Nature blessed them with gorgeous low lying clouds allowing the nearby mountain tops to peek out. It could not have been a more perfect morning!
Like so many couples over the past year, COVID-19 forced Anna and Edward to postpone their elopement. Sure, they were heart broken and disappointed when forced to reschedule, but my goodness, they ended up with the most perfect morning to say “I do!” during their Jump Off Rock wedding. As I drove to their AirBnb cabin before dawn on roads wet from the cold overnight rainstorm, the moon began to peek out of the clouds. When I approached their cabin I looked up and saw the thin intermittent clouds, and knew right away that this upcoming sunrise was going to be spectacular. I anticipated that the clouds would hang out in the low valleys and I was so very excited!
When I arrived at Anna and Edward’s cabin to capture their getting ready photos and first look, they were both very excited for our morning together and were feeling a bit of their nerves. Even though their wedding day included only the two of them and no guests, they were still feeling a lot of emotions around their big day, as any couple would. I took a moment and shared the current weather with them, and told them that I thought the sunrise at Jump Off Rock was going to be incredible. They were both extremely happy to hear that since our weather here in the Asheville, NC mountains can be a little unpredictable.
After they finished getting ready we captured their first look in the garden just outside of their very cute little cabin. The moment Edward and Anna saw each other all dressed in their wedding attire, tears began to flow. These two share such an incredible connection and respect for one another and it was amazing to capture so much of it in the first moments of their day before their Jump Off Rock wedding.
As we headed up to Jump Off Rock in Laurel Park, NC, the skies brightened and the sun began to peek out for this Jump Off Rock wedding. When we got to the top of the mountain we instantly saw the low lying clouds in the valley and the nearby mountain tops showing their peaks. It was absolutely perfect scenery to be married, and the park itself was empty!
As Reverend Jay Webb conducted the wedding ceremony the clouds softly swept through the valleys below and over the ground we stood on. The sun peeked out intermittently at the most perfect moments and helped create the most magical of feelings!
This Jump Off Rock wedding elopement near Hendersonville, NC is one I will not soon forget. From the sweet couple to the most incredible mountain views, it was truly amazing! Congratulations, Anna + Edward!
