These two beautiful souls shared the most amazing wedding weekend at Hawkesdene Estate, with their closest friends and family, and it was absolutely amazing to capture! I loved witnessing the unparalleled support beaming from their guests and the pure joy that surrounded them! Capturing their wedding day was a dream!
When I first met with Tony and Russell to talk about their wedding photography, I could feel their calm demeanors, and how important this day was to them. With their two children present, and their friends and family traveling from all over the country to join them, they wanted not only for their wedding at Hawkesdene Estate to be beautiful and fun, but also to be welcoming and intentional for all who were present. This was all very evident during their wedding weekend with group hikes, group yoga, and family style meals. It was also evident on their wedding day with many group photos and inclusive special dances. It was so beautiful to see their strong bond with each of their guests!
Throughout their wedding day, Tony and Russell held a perfect balance of getting ready with family, spending meaningful time with friends, and sticking side by side enjoying the day together. The candid photos that I captured of them on their wedding day show all of their deep love for one another and their favorite people. The many hugs, purposeful conversation, and shared laughter are a true testament to how much Tony and Russell love and appreciate their family and friends being present on their wedding day. I love how they walked through their wedding weekend at Hawkesdene Estate with intention, heartfelt thoughtfulness, and BIG love. It was beautiful to witness!
My favorite part of this Hawkesdene Estate wedding, was when Tony took time during his ceremony vows, to read a heartfelt handwritten passage to each of the couple’s kids. His words were warm, loving, intentional, and amazingly beautiful. I imagine that the kids felt loved, accepted, and excited about their futures together, because all the rest of us felt that for them. This moment will stand out to me for a very long time. It was beautiful!
Just like this gorgeous wedding, I LOVE capturing weddings at Hawkesdene Estate, and am grateful to do so many times each year! This mountain wedding venue in Andrews, NC is absolutely amazing for so many reasons, like the gardens, mountaintop views, amazing staff, and gorgeous accommodations, and this particular wedding made my time there that much sweeter!
